E-mail and the Internet are the quintessential means of the improper usage and modern decay of the English language. It just so happens that your blog is spearheading that effort. Keep up the good work. - Priapic John

Head on over to www.woxy.com and tune in right now. The stream is free and better then ever. Here's the latest info:
So what's changing? Not a lot right away. All the good stuff you've come to expect is all right here... Mike and Shiv, the boards, live Lounge Acts and lots of great music. It's now completely free to listen, and we'll be jacking up the quality of our streams even higher within the next couple weeks.
What can you expect for the future? We're working on opening up additional WOXY Live Lounge studios around the country in order to bring you more live Lounge Act sessions. Next month, you're going to be able to program your own radio station over at La La using tracks pulled from the massive WOXY.com music library. And that's just the beginning.
While you're listening to the sweet, sweet WOXY, make sure to head over to see our buddies at La La (www.lala.com), register for an account and check out what they have going on. La La members are pretty crazy about their music, so we're all going to get along quite well.

I had pretty much resigned to and accepted the fate of www.woxy.com. It was time to move on and find some other way to get my Indie fix. So I had an instant heart attack when I heard that WOXY was coming back. This had better not be a joke, I don't think I could handle it. But checking out www.woxy.com main page and boards it appears to be true!!
WOXY.com lives...
Could it be true? Does lightning strike the same place twice? Apparently it does. It is indeed the real deal Â? WOXY.com will be back on-the-air soon and better than ever! Seems like we're proving ourselves to be master escape artists in eluding the icy depths of the deadpool. We're ready to kick out the jams and hope you are, too. In the meantime, please do join us on the boards, and if you haven't done so already, make sure you sign up for our email list to the right.
More details very, very soon...
- Mike, Shiv and Bryan Jay
Hey folks, we'd like to save woxy. You can learn more about us at lala.com, but we're very well funded and humbled by the great work the people here have done. Please tell the fab four at woxy to contact us.

Today is the last day to catch the www.woxy.com stream. They will be shutting down at 5:00 pm est.
I've actually received a lot of feedback from folks that said they just don't get it. Comments such as:
lol...see, this is the crap I have to put up with for offering something that is fresh, independent, modern rock that is not mainstream. Actually, I have to say that for exactly the above reasons (excluding "teh Suck" and hippie comment) I highly recommend Woxee. But in a nutshell, it's all about diversity folks. Yeah, they play stuff that I once thought was ghey (Flock of Seagulls), or stuff I would never sign up to listen so such as Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson or even Bob Dylan. But guess what, Woxee has played them. But foremost, Woxee prided themselves in finding the Indie or unsigned bands worldwide and giving them the airtime no one else would provide.
But it can be said that Woxee is ahead of their time and not for everyone. If your interested in mainstream, common thought, corporate sponsored rock, well...you have over 1000 Clear Channel stations to select from, enjoy.

I meant to post this sooner, but it's been a busy week. But Cincinnati's own www.woxy.com is signing off for the last time this Friday. Sad but true.
