<div>This is all fine and dandy with the one problem that I cannot stand to eat Olives and have avoided them like the plague. But after reading this I set out to find something I can not only handle, but also enjoy. My fridge is stocked with every variation I can find and the the results are not good. Howerver I think I finally found a winner!!!</div>

<p>I found these at Costco&#8230;of course&#8230;and very happy with the flavor. I guess you throw anything in front of me with garlic and red pepper spice and I&#8217;m a push over. But these really taste great and can be enjoyed by themselves, as a side, or just throw in a salad.</p>

<p>Watching the commercial I was already yacking as they swirl this red thick liquid into a perfectly clean glass of water. The red coloring misting and swirling through the water. All I can think about is the petro-chemicals used for the color dyes and who knows what they are using for the zero sugar claim. And lets not even get started about the artificial flavor options.<a href="http://www.goferboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/mionutritionFact.jpg"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-565" title="mionutritionFact" src="http://www.goferboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/mionutritionFact.jpg" alt="" width="285" height="369" /></a></p>
<p>So looking long and hard I finally found a Nutrition Fact label that confirmed my suspicions. And Kraft is behind this. Wow, big surprise.</p>
<p>This really is a toxic mix of Polusorbate 60, Red 40, Blue 1 along with the other usual suspects.</p>
<p>I highly recommend reading the books &#8220;The One Hundred Year Lie&#8221; and &#8220;Twinkie, Deconstructed&#8221; to understand what this label means.  My fear is most will look at the Sugar 0g and go &#8220;oh great!&#8221;.</p>
<p>Drink your water people. Drink Sparkling water. Add your own real lemon or lime slices. But don&#8217;t buy into this toxic swill.</p>

A wonderful breakdown on each ingredient that goes into this enduring American treat. The Nutritional Fact label actually makes up the table of contents. And even though the focus is on Twinkies, I learned a lot about the processed food industry, supply chains, and mining (yes Mining) process that takes for all the foods we eat. This really is an eye opener that everyone should examine and understand what they are eating. I&#8217;ll be point blank and tell you that everything you know about processed foods has been sugar coated. Actually more like HFCS coated. It&#8217;s just amazing how genetically modified corn and soy are in everything. It is all so much more worse then you thought.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.doctorspaulandpatrickbaker.com/"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-532" title="100 year lie" src="http://www.goferboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/100yearlie-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />Dr. Patrick Baker</a> then led me to the next two selections. I was complete engrossed in The <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Hundred-Year-Lie-Yourself-Chemicals-Destroying/dp/0452288398/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_i">One Hundred Year Lie</a>. I think the following Amazon comment best sums up my views&#8230;</p>
<blockquote><p>This is a hard book to read though as with each revelation you will get angrier and angrier at the corporate world. It will scare you into eating more healthy alternative foods.</p></blockquote>
<p>But this book goes beyond the foods we eat. This looks at all the toxins that exist in our environment today and how they are causing so many of the problems that just didn&#8217;t register on the map a few simple years/decades ago. This isn&#8217;t all doom and gloom. There are some practical steps we can take to minimize our exposure. But it first has to start with understanding what we are up against.</p>
<p>The 3rd book I just completed is <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Power-Building-Strength-Muscle-Naturally/dp/B001IT262W/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_t">Raw Power &#8211; Building strength and Muscle Naturally</a> by Stephen Arlin. While many don&#8217;t give the writing style high marks, it really is hard to argue with his main theme and points. The food we eat is dead and the results are poor nutrition. When has putting fire to anything ever made it better is the point that got to me.  He actually makes militant vegans look like panzies&#8230;.which appeals to me. But seriously, I do like his direct to the point approach. And while I&#8217;m no where ready to go 100% raw, I will take many of his recommendations to heart.</p>
<p>Dr. Baker has also just come out with a new book title <a href="http://www.doctorspaulandpatrickbaker.com/WhatDidIJustEatSurprisingFactsAboutFood.html">What did I just Eat?</a>.  I&#8217;ve had the chance to learn a lot from Dr. Baker and I look forward to ordering this ASAP as I know it will be yet another learning experience. <img class="aligncenter" src="http://www.doctorspaulandpatrickbaker.com/tp.gif" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Just took my day 36 fit test and very surprised by the numbers. I pulled my Hamstring 2 weeks ago playing soccer and have been unable to really hit Insanity hard. But instead of doing nothing, I still went through the motions of pressing play and eating as clean as possible. Some workouts I never made it past the warm up. But I really did need to rest the hamstring, so I made sure I didn&#8217;t aggravate that injury. I noticed by the end of last week that I was able to stretch and not have any more pain. So I repeated what would be my official 2nd month and did the day 36 fit test expecting terrible numbers. What a pleasant surprise that I was still able to kick it up a notch!!</p>

I spent a year at Lifetime Fitness and using the South Beach diet with great results. I went down from 215 lb to 190 lbs. But I&#8217;ve been there before and usually yo-yo back up. But this time something different happened. My brother in-law introduced me to P90x and with it, I&#8217;m now down to 168 in size 32 w pants! So what is P90x? Well, this video best explains it.</p>
